A History

 

Our story starts in the garage of Arnold van Eeden, the Plettenberg Bay Primary School headmaster who began to make wooden toys, carefully crafted with love and care.

Arnold was able to pass on his skills and expertise, creating an open door for his son Charl to establish Wooden Wonders in 1998. This soon became a family affair, with Charl’s brother, Andre and sister, Shelley joining the team.

Having lived in Plett for over 40 years, the van Eeden family business has enjoyed the loyal support of the greater Plett community.

At Wooden Wonders we are continually striving for excellence. We aim to work well in teams alongside local builders and contractors creating sophisticated, bespoke cabinetry while bringing that special family love and care… turning houses into homes.

Do you have your own designs ready?

Are you in need of designs and drawings?

Our professional consultants with many years of experience use the most current 3D design  technology available and will provide professional and accurate drawings and costings  towards your dream kitchen. A refundable design deposit fee will be credited to your account on acceptance of the quotation and receipt of a deposit. This covers review of your plans, site visits as necessary, consultation time and provision of detailed costings.

Step 1

  • Pay the refundable design deposit (if you require drawings). Once we receive your proof of payment we will be in touch to set up a meeting with one of our talented designers.
  • Complete the kitchen “Appliance Check List”.
  • Go through the “Kitchen Questions” and consider your wants and needs.
  • Gather some ideas & inspiration (pictures from magazines, Pinterest boards).
  • Bring along all the above to your meeting with our designer.

Step 3

  • Make a 25% deposit payment on your quote. From here the manufacturing process will begin.

Step 2

  • You will receive your first design draft as well as a quote for the cabinetry. You will then have two opportunities to make minor changes to the design.
